Dr. Andrea Viski joined the Project Alpha team in 2017 as a Consultant, focusing mainly on strategic trade controls and capacity-building. She previously worked for the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, contributing to the Nuclear Security Unit’s work on strategic trade controls as well as the EU CBRN Centers of Excellence (CoE) initiative. She previously worked in the Dual-Use and Arms Trade Control, as well as the Arms Control and Non-Proliferation, Programs at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI). She is the current editor-in-chief of the Strategic Trade Review, a peer reviewed journal dedicated to arms and dual-use trade control, and has published numerous articles and book chapters specifically in the area of strategic trade controls and international law.
Ms. Viski received her PhD from the European University Institute, her M.A in Georgetown University’s Institute for Law, Science and Global Security, and her B.A in International Politics from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
